What is Hip Flexor Pain?
The hip flexors are a large group of muscles that move the hip forward when running and walking. A huge amount of stress is applied to this muscle group when sprinting or kicking. A strain to these muscles can vary from a minor tear to a complete rupture of the muscle tissue. This injury is seen commonly in cyclists, athletes who jump or run, athletes like soccer players who do forceful kicking activities, and people who participate in martial arts.
