Neck pain is very common and can be due to a single single pathology or combined abnormalities. The neck is extremely mobile and always involved in complex movements that generally require heavy weight bearing or the use of a lot of force. Soft tissue in the neck is compressed into tight compartments, increasing the risk of stress. Symptoms can include muscle weakness or spasm and reflex and/or sensory loss.
A Healthy Neck
Your neck is aligned with a normal curve. Damage to your neck's curve can cause severe and long lasting problems.
An Injured Neck
The vertebrae can wear down(DJD), the muscles can be torn, ligaments can rupture, nerves can possibly be pinched, and/or discs may herniate.
