The majority of back pain occurs in the low back. Muscle sprain/strains are most often the causes of low-back pain. This may occur while lifting improperly, shoveling, or even gardening. Back pain can either be acute or chronic. Acute low back pain generally lasts for a relatively short amount of time (3 months or less). Chronic low back pain generally lasts for more than 3 months and it is often recurrent. Chiropractic treatment has been proven by multiple research studies to be the most effective treatment for low back pain.
